Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of builtbyadam.ca (the "Site"), operated by Adam Ciszek ("I", "me"), an independent web developer and technology consultant based in Ontario, Canada. By using the Site, you agree to these terms.

Use of the Site

The Site is a portfolio and contact point for my consulting work. You may browse it and use the contact form to reach out about a project. You agree not to misuse the Site - for example, by attempting to disrupt it, submitting fraudulent or abusive content through the contact form, or scraping it for purposes other than normal browsing.

Contact form submissions

By submitting the contact form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, and you consent to being contacted back by email or phone regarding your inquiry. Submitting the form also constitutes your agreement to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. Submitting the contact form does not, on its own, create a client relationship or a contract for services - that follows only from a separate, explicit agreement between us.

Intellectual property

The design, code, and written content of this Site belong to me unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused without permission. Work shown in the portfolio section belongs to the respective clients or projects; it's displayed here to demonstrate past work.

Third-party links

The Site links to external sites (for example, GitHub, Instagram, and client project sites). I'm not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

No warranty

The Site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. I make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and available but don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly current.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. This doesn't limit liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, shown by the date at the top of this page.
